This project focuses on designing a digital educational resource based on evidence (created in Genially) for healthcare professionals training, aimed at supporting patients at risk of heart disease. The tool promotes clear, actionable lifestyle and prevention strategies to reduce heart attack risk, with a strong emphasis on usability.
It addresses a common healthcare challenge: patients often receive large amounts of preventive information during brief clinical visits but struggle to understand, retain, and apply it. Research shows that poor health literacy and information overload can reduce comprehension and follow-through (Berkman et al., 2011).
The project prioritizes usability and educational clarity to ensure the resource is accessible, understandable, and facilitates real-world behaviour change in preventative heart health.
Core usability question: How can a digital educational tool be designed so patients can easily understand, remember, and act on preventative heart health strategies after a clinical consultation?
Technologies: Genially, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Claude, Adobe Photoshop

As part of the broader learning ecosystem, I used Replit to conceptualize and prototype a companion Heart Health application. This allowed me to explore how the instructional design could evolve into a real-world digital tool supporting post–heart attack patients with ongoing education, behavior tracking, and decision support.
